Our Story
Gardening Math started with a frustration, not a discovery: seed packets, plant tags, and gardening forums all gave slightly different spacing advice, and none of it explained why.
Our founder, Priya Nandan, spent a decade working as a data analyst before trading spreadsheets for raised beds. She kept doing what came naturally — running the numbers. Bed area divided by plant spacing. Germination rate applied to seed counts. Evapotranspiration estimates turned into a watering calendar.
What started as a personal garden journal became a public set of calculators and guides, built for gardeners who'd rather check a formula than guess.
Today, Gardening Math exists to make that same math available to anyone planning a garden — from a single raised bed to a quarter-acre plot.
